A jury found former Suffolk Legislator Wayne Prospect guilty of bribery and coercion Friday.
Prosecutors say Prospect took money from contractors in exchange for information on county projects. During the trial the court heard wiretapped conversations between Prospect, former OTB official Stephen Baranello and the deputy county public works commissioner.
Prospect faces five to 15 years in prison. Sentencing is scheduled for July 24.
