John Venditto, the former Oyster Bay supervisor, is fighting to get state charges against him dropped.
The charges are related to an alleged conspiracy surrounding a town paving contract.
Venditto's lawyer says he got nothing of value when a contract was given to "Carlo Lizza & Sons Paving" of Hicksville.
Venditto is accused of conspiring with Lizza, and with former Town Planning Commissioner Fred Ippolito.
Ippolito died last year.
Venditto was recently acquitted of federal charges in the same case.
