Some former Mets rallied in Holbrook Thursday as the team traveled home for a pivotal Game 3 of the Fall Classic.
World Series champ Art Shamsky, of the 1969 Mets, and Ducks manager and former Mets shortstop Kevin Baez were among a group of people attending the rally at the playground near the Holbrook Country Club.
"Even though the team is down 0-2, it's a best of seven series. Anything can happen...I do believe the Mets are going to come back," Shamsky told News 12.
Game 3 will be at Citi Field Friday night.
