Five Wyandanch high school varsity football players were suspended after being caught on school security video allegedly involved in bullying pranks last week.
A school spokesman says the players were given a weeklong suspension after giving wedgies to two other students in the hallways. But freshman Jennifer Pacheco says it went much further than that.
"They pulled their underwear off and started swinging it around," she says.
Junior Taeshaun Jenkins, who is on the team, says he didn't witness the prank but that it is being blown out of proportion.
"I think they were just fooling around, you know, nothing real serious," he says.
The school spokesman says that while the players were suspended from class, they were still allowed to play in their game Saturday against Shoreham-Wading River.
Suffolk police say the incident was not criminal and that those involved did not want to pursue criminal charges.
