Flight from LGA lands in Chicago with 2 blown tires

Passengers had to deplane via stairs and boarded a bus to head to the terminal, officials say.

Passengers on a plane from New York had to evacuate the aircraft once it landed in Illinois.

The crew of American Airlines Flight 386 reported two blown tires after landing safely in Chicago, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

The incident happened at Chicago O'Hare International Airport around 2 p.m. on Monday.

The flight, which departed from LaGuardia Airport, deplaned via stairs and boarded a bus to head to the terminal, officials say.

There were no reported injuries.

The Boeing 737-800 has been taken out of service for the FAA to investigate.
