Community Thrift Shop in Huntington is launching an "Upcyclers Club."
"If you join the Upcyclers Club, you're going to get advanced notice on all of our discounts, special event days and even classes to do crafting and upcycling with us," says Reyna Booth, manager of Community Thrift Shop.
Booth showed News 12 several upcycled items on display, including bowls made from records, earrings made from gift cards which double as guitar picks and a plant stand made out of a glass cookie tray and a frame from a lamp.
Proceeds from the thrift shop go to Visiting Nurse Service & Hospice of Suffolk.
The shop, located on Main Street in Huntington Village, is open Monday - Saturday from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
