Fishermen help save a tugboat crew

A group of Greenport fishermen helped save a tugboat crew from some pretty rough waters. People on board The Merit rushed out to help save four people from a sunken tugboat, according to Newsday.

A group of Greenport fishermen helped save a tugboat crew from some pretty rough waters.
People on board The Merit rushed out to help save four people from a sunken tugboat, according to Newsday.
The tug went down Wednesday night near Rhode Island's Port Judith, while trying to tow a deck barge to shore.
The crews had to battle 40 mph winds and surging waters to pull off the rescue.
Everyone made it back to shore safely.
