Suffolk County police officers were honored Monday for saving a fisherman's life last year.

Greg Antolini's boat was overturned by a 10-foot wave during a November storm in the Fire Island inlet, throwing him overboard. He had been clinging to a life jacket for about 90 minutes in 57-degree water when his boat was spotted.

Despite the rough seas and wall of waves, the Marine Bureau made it out to Antolini as a chopper flew overhead. Video shows officers pulling him from the water.

Antolini was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital, where doctors told him he would have died if he spent another half-hour in the water.

On Monday, Antolini was reunited with Suffolk aviation and Marine Bureau teams to thank them in person.

"My four kids can see me every day...I just can't thank them enough," says Antolini, of Babylon.

Antolini's boat was found several days later, 13 miles off the coast of Cherry Grove.
