Several Long Island graduate schools earn national recognition

A new ranking of the nation’s best graduate schools is out, and several colleges and universities across Long Island are earning top marks.

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory ranked sixth in the country for its graduate biological sciences programs, placing it among the nation’s elite research institutions.

Several other Long Island schools also performed strongly in the latest list from U.S. News & World Report. Stony Brook University and Hofstra University each earned at least 10 rankings across multiple categories, including medical school programs, engineering, and other advanced fields of study.

Additional Long Island institutions recognized in this year’s rankings include Molloy College, Adelphi University, and LIU Post, highlighting the region’s growing presence in graduate-level education.
