A Commack fisherman was saved from the waters of the Long Island Sound on Sunday.
News 12 has learned Russell Giannotti was fishing with his wife when he went into the water to free his fishing line that was tangled around his boat engine's propeller.
That is when Giannotti's boat ladder broke and he was stranded in the water off Eaton's Neck Point in Northport.
Nearby boaters called for help, and police rescued Giannotti.
