‘Celebrate America’ was a free fireworks show and concert at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre.
More than 7000 people attended the concert and fireworks show.
The show honored everyone who has worked to get Nassau County through the pandemic.
Officials say that with the county having such a high vaccination rate, at 88.3 percent, they could hold the outdoor event safely.
The event featured live musical performances by the band Radio Flashback.
