Professional pyrotechnicians are getting ready to dazzle Long Islanders with spectacular fireworks displays this Fourth of July.
Twelve workers from Fireworks by Grucci will work for three full days to prepare Eisenhower Park in East Meadow for Saturday?s Commerce Bank Celebrates America. Officials say the 23 minute, 18 second fireworks show will be world class. Technicians say it?s all about quality, not quantity, and call themselves artists and entertainers.
Jones Beach State Park is also slated to hold the 12th Annual Bay Fireworks Show Tuesday night. Organizers say a DJ, a band, miniature golf, shuffleboard and food vendors will be included in the festivities, which will go on until midnight.
