Firefighters are performing mop-up operations on the wildfire that has burned over 5,300 acres east of Greenwood Lake.
News 12’s Ben Nandy reports that the fire is nearly fully controlled, which has allowed the demobilization of several crews. Those remaining are focused on patrolling the fire’s perimeter and extinguishing hot spots to prevent flare-ups.
