Freeport firefighters rescued a man trapped in an apartment building during a fire Wednesday morning.
The fire occurred on West Merrick Road.
Officials say the man was stuck in the bedroom of his apartment.
First responders rushed the man to safety and brought him to a hospital with unknown injuries.
