The dry conditions across Long Island have led to an increase in brush fires, including one in Old Westbury this morning.
Fire officials responded to 18 Rolling Hill Rd. just after 7 a.m. to tackle the flames.
When they arrived, they said about a half-acre was burning.
Officials said it was an electrical fire caused by a utility pole in the back of the property.
Several fire departments were able to contain it.
