An Elmont home was struck by lightning Monday afternoon, according to fire officials.

The incident happened on 51 Circle Drive West at around 4:30 p.m.

First responders arrived to smoke coming out of the windows of the second floor, but crews were able to get the fire under control by around 5 p.m.

No injuries were initially reported.
