Firefighters were forced to battle a fire Wednesday at an assisted-living complex in Massapequa.Fire officials say the blaze started around 3:30 a.m. at The Bristol on County Line Road. According to officials, a faulty heating item caused the fire.Officials say some residents were trapped inside, but everyone was eventually evacuated. More than 100 people were forced to flee by the fire. Four people were taken to the hospital due to smoke inhalation and chest pains, but officials say they are expected to be OK.
