Family and friends gathered Saturday in Freeport for an emotional farewell to a young Marine killed on his third tour of duty in Iraq.
Julian Arechaga, 23, died when an explosive hit his Humvee earlier this month. Two of Arechaga's fellow Marines say he didn't have to go back to Iraq, but chose to anyway. They say he didn't want to leave the group of soldiers he was in charge of while in Iraq.
Arechaga, who was married just a short time, is described as an amazing person who was considerate and kind. His family says he is a hero who made the ultimate sacrifice for his country.
