Officials say vandals caused thousands of dollars of damage at the Shinnecock Cultural Center and Museum.

The fence was covered with graffiti and spray painted sometime between 9 p.m. Tuesday and yesterday morning, according to police.

The vandals hit both the fence and a shed.

According to Newsday, the graffiti included the N-word.

The vandalism is not being considered a bias crime at this time.
