FEMA: Over $13B in Sandy aid paid to NYS
As the second anniversary of Superstorm Sandy approaches next Wednesday, FEMA is releasing information on how the recovery money was spent.
FEMA says it has paid more than $13 billion in recovery aid to New York State.
A large part of the money was spent on temporary housing, unemployment, flood insurance claims, and debris removal. There were also payments for projects to protect the region from future storms.
