As the second anniversary of Superstorm Sandy approaches next Wednesday, FEMA is releasing information on how the recovery money was spent.
FEMA says it has paid more than $13 billion in recovery aid to New York State.
A large part of the money was spent on temporary housing, unemployment, flood insurance claims, and debris removal. There were also payments for projects to protect the region from future storms.
