The FDA has announced it is taking major steps to improve
breast cancer prevention.
The agency is now requiring facilities to inform women
about the density of their breasts when they get a mammogram.
Experts say the scan is limited in being able to
demonstrate early findings in dense breast tissue.
Knowing this, women can look to other studies like a 3D
mammogram.
Half of
women over the age of 40 in the U.S. have dense breast tissue.
