Nine people had to be hospitalized Monday after a carbon monoxide incident in Hempstead. 
It happened around 5 a.m. at an apartment complex on Jackson Street. 
Firefighters say the carbon monoxide came from a faulty boiler.
Residents were allowed back inside their apartments after the air was cleared.
