Farmingville man pleads not guilty in fatal stabbing of estranged wife

A man accused of stabbing and killing his estranged wife in Farmingville was arraigned on Tuesday.

Marcos Marques-Leal, 57, allegedly killed Adriana Barbosa inside of their home on Granny Road on Feb. 12.

Detectives say Marques-Leal then stabbed himself and was hospitalized with serious injuries.

He pleaded not guilty and was remanded without bail during his court appearance.

A teen relative was also hurt during the attack and a temporary order of protection was also issued at the arraignment.

Marques-Leal is due back in court next month.
