A Farmingville man already facing manslaughter charges in a crash that killed two 19-year-old women has been taken back into custody after prosecutors said he violated court orders by driving with a suspended license just weeks after the fatal collision.

Frank Labidi, who is accused of recklessly causing the January crash that killed Lindsey Parke and Alexa Duryea on Old Country Road, appeared in court again this week on new charges tied to violating the conditions of his release.

Prosecutors said Labidi ignored a court-ordered suspension of his driver’s license following the crash and continued to operate vehicles, including while running what authorities described as a car sales business.

According to the Nassau County District Attorney’s Office, Labidi rented U-Haul trailers on multiple occasions and used them to transport vehicles, including at least one trip to Massachusetts in April to pick up a car and bring it back to Long Island.

“He definitely went to Massachusetts on at least one occasion, rented a U-Haul trailer, picked up a car and drove back to Long Island with it,” Nassau County District Attorney Anne Donnelly said in court.

Labidi’s attorney argued that some of the photographic evidence presented by prosecutors only showed a vehicle not registered in his client’s name. However, prosecutors said at least one image clearly shows Labidi behind the wheel.

The judge overseeing the case said the alleged conduct was a clear violation of court orders and expressed concern over Labidi’s apparent disregard for the law. Labidi was remanded without bail.

The new charge comes months after Labidi was initially charged with two counts of manslaughter in connection with the January crash. Authorities allege he was speeding and driving recklessly when the vehicle he was operating struck, killing Parke and Duryea, both passengers.

Family members of the victims attended the latest court hearing and said they were relieved by the judge’s decision to hold Labidi without bail.

“He could have killed anybody else too, his friends or a random person on the road,” said Haley Parke, Lindsey Parke’s sister. “He could have killed anybody else.”

Lindsey Parke’s mother, Annette Sitzman Parke, told reporters she believes Labidi has shown no remorse since the crash.

“He shows no remorse towards the girls, and he’s not taking the court seriously as he didn’t take driving seriously,” she said.

Her father, Edward Parke, criticized Labidi’s behavior in the months following the crash, saying it demonstrated a lack of accountability.

“Right from the beginning he was out partying a couple of weeks after this happened at a bar, and now we found today he’s out driving like it’s a regular day to him,” he said.

The judge ordered Labidi to be held without bail.
