Members of the Farmingdale community are struggling to come to grips with the accident that claimed the lives of four people and injured three others this morning.
Police say four were killed and three more were hurt when a Nissan collided with a Chevy SUV on Conklin Street at around midnight.
The identities of the victims have not been released, but friends of the victims say at least some of them were teenagers.
Farmingdale High School has told parents that there will be guidance counselors and school psychologists on hand Monday to help students cope with the tragedy.
A makeshift memorial has been created at the site of the crash and is growing as people who knew the victims turn out to pay their respects.
