Fans no longer have to wonder what it’s like to be a big-time golfer – they can live it, with the help of the U.S. Open virtual reality experience.
Lines of fans at Shinnecock Hills have been using a simulator that takes them onto the golf course and into the clubhouse with just a headset and a joystick.
They can choose from five different experiences, including checking out the Shinnecock trophy room and playing the 18th hole of the U.S. Open with Corey Pavin in 1995.
First-round action at the U.S. Open begins Thursday.
