One family is making a desperate plea to keep the man who killed an NYPD officer from Elmont in prison.
The family of Officer Anthony Dwyer asked the parole board not to release his murderer Friday.
Dwyer was killed in 1989, after being pushed down an air shaft by a fleeing burglar.
That man, Eddie Matos, is currently serving 25 years to life in prison.
He's been denied parole twice.
A third hearing is set for next month.
