A popular Gordon Heights mechanic was found shot to death inside his home Thursday.
Family members went to check on 58-year-old Alvin Gatling at his Wilson Avenue home because they hadn't heard from him since Tuesday, police said. When they arrived, authorities said the relatives discovered his body.
Investigators have not commented on a potential motive. However, neighbors said Gatling could have been the target of a robbery.
