Fairleigh Dickinson University has introduced Jack Castleberry as the new head coach for the Knights men’s basketball team.
Castleberry, who was an assistant, is being elevated to the role of head coach.
"We have the structure in place," Castleberry said today. "We are going to continue to do what makes us successful, and build upon what we just accomplished."
Castleberry replaces Tobin Anderson, who departed FDU for Iona after the team's NCAA Tournament run.
Castleberry touched on FDU's historic upset in his news conference.
"There were people at the beginning of last week who had no idea what FDU is. Now, the entire nation does," he said. "You are America's Cinderella story right now"
"We are so excited to start this next chapter of FDU Knights men's basketball with Jack as our head coach," said interim university president Michael Avaltroni in a statement.  "He was a core and integral member of this amazing and historic run and we have every confidence that he will take this amazing momentum and continue to help us to tell the story of our University through the success of our basketball program on and off the court!"
