As the Federal Trade Commission begins an investigation into Facebook's privacy practices, the company is also facing new scrutiny about the collection of data from users with Android devices.
At issue is Facebook's ability to log information from Android users who use the Messenger or Facebook Lite apps.
Facebook says it logs calls and texts to enhance the user experience and that people can turn off the feature in their settings.
People who have used Facebook on an Android device can see what information Facebook has collected by logging into the social network from a computer -- not a phone.
