Sponsored by the Bonsai Society of Greater New York, features members answering questions about the art and the specific trees on display. Expect to see a variety of trees, depicting the various styles of bonsai, including trees and forest planting. Admission gives you access to the show and grounds -- take advantage of the Shakuhachi (bamboo flute) performance at 1-4 p.m.

Start the day with an early morning tour of Belmont Race Track. Visitors can watch the thoroughbreds' train and take a tram ride through the stable area that ends with a demonstration of how the starting gate works on the track. Breakfast (a la carte) is available in the on-site cafe.
