Experts are calling the gruesome dismemberment of a woman in Glen Cove a psychosexual murder. Police say when Evan Marshall killed his neighbor Denise Fox, he committed more than an ordinary murder. Dr. Roy Aranda, a forensic psychologist from Wheatley Heights, says people who commit such horrific killings suffer from a mental disorder known as paraphelia. Aranda says people with the disorder derive sexual pleasure through humiliation, abuse and torture. Sufferers are often loners who were abused as children and fantasize about hurting others for sexual arousal. He says the disorder primarily affects men. Police sources say they found a mannequin with its head detached, sadomasochistic videos and pictures in Marshall's basement. Detectives are looking into whether similar crimes may have been committed in other states where Marshall lived.
