There will be security concerns throughout the United State and in the tri-state region in the coming days following Saturday's shooting incident at a Pennsylvania rally for former President Donald Trump.
Terrorism expert Sal Lifrieri is the president of PCC Secure. The Westchester County-based group has provided training and advisory services around the world.
He says while security will be a high level of concern ahead of future campaign rallies and presidential events, the general public should not stop living and remain vigilant.
"I think we can recognize what's going on and continue to live our lives. Continue to go to work, go to school, go shopping -- live your life and then we'll see as the investigation continues, we get a better handle, what and who is behind it and then secondarily will start to see what are those protest that may or may not develop," Lifrieri says.
As far as prospective on the security situation at the rally, Secret Service, local law enforcement and the Transportation Security Administration are meant to screen all attendees as they enter a rally site.
The Secret Service also deploys counter-snipers and a counter-assault team with the president and major party nominees to address any threats.
