The grand opening of Long Island’s first Wegmans is just days away!
News 12 got an exclusive sneak peek at the Lake Grove location on Monday.
The location opens at 9 a.m. Wednesday. It’s been almost three years since the Long Island store was announced and anticipation has been building from shoppers and employees alike.
Melissa Vetrecin, an assistant store manager, told News 12, “There’s so much excitement about opening. Sometimes people come early and wait in line, we’ve seen people with custom shirts, some of them affectionately refer to themselves as 'Wegmaniacs.'”
The regular store hours will be from 6 a.m. to midnight daily.
The store opens Wednesday at 9 a.m.
