Former Suffolk Legislator Fred Towle was sentenced Thursday to six months in jail for accepting more than $10,000 in bribes.
In 2003, Towle admitted he accepted the bribes and used campaign contributions for his own personal use.
Towle worked with prosecutors after his arrest, and nearly two-dozen more people were investigated in Suffolk's political corruption crackdown.
