A Brooklyn man arrested at the J.C. Penney in East Garden City last night is accused of an elaborate tag-switching scheme.

Police say Eric Willis would change tags on items to buy them at a cheaper price and then return the items at other stores for gift cards. Willis would then buy things with the gift cards and ultimately return everything for a cash refund.

It's believed Willis has been ripping off the store chain for more than four years.

He is facing grand larceny charges.
