A Freeport man is facing attempted murder charges after allegedly stabbing a woman.
Police arrested Eric Smith after they received a call from the woman outside a home on Archer Street. According to police, the unidentified 40-year-old woman had been stabbed in the face and arms.
A motive is not known, and police have not said if there's a relationship between Smith and the woman.
The woman is in stable condition and expected to survive.
