The annual Clean Water Symposium was held at Long Island University's Post campus on Thursday.

The event brought together environmental experts to discuss ways to address water quantity and quality issues on Long Island.

Speakers included experts from University of California, Berkeley and Stony Brook University.

The annual event highlights nationwide challenges communities face related to water and the ways they’re working to mitigate them.

The symposium also included a clean water solutions panel, which shared technologies used to treat wastewater more efficiently.
