You'll see beautiful artwork inside of the three-story mansion that was once the home of the Frick Family.
The museum is known for its rotating and temporary exhibits. Right now, you can see their innovative show Blue. It explores the many meanings of the color of the year. It brings together masterworks of art from Long Island artist Cao Jun to Pablo Picasso.
But there’s also beautiful art outside! And the grounds are free to see. The museum is on the William Cullen Bryant Preserve. Walk through the grounds that the poet once enjoyed back in the 19th Century.
On the 145 acres, you’ll find eight nature trails to hike, the museum is an arboretum with a collection of specimen trees. You'll also find two ponds and a formal garden.
Pick up a map at the mansion so you can learn about the collection of 40 sculptures.
