Family and friends gathered at the Holy Trinity Church Friday to say goodbye to a talented North Amityville girl who was gunned down at a friend?s party.
The church was packed with mourners paying tribute to 14-year-old Danielle Baker. They celebrated her short life with singing and dancing, which the young girl loved to do. Police say Baker was fatally shot April 8 by someone who fired a gun at the house. Family members believe the shooter was a neighborhood gang member who was asked to leave the party. Police are still searching for her killer.
Baker was an A student at Copiague Middle School and cheerleading captain. Friends describe Baker as outgoing and fun loving and say her bright spirit will be missed.
