Elmont holds Martin Luther King Jr. Day walk

The walk started at 9 a.m. at the Elmont Public Library on Hempstead Turnpike and ended at the same place.

On Long Island, several events are taking place in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
This morning, a walk is being held in Elmont organized by the group Elmont Strong.
The walk started at 9 a.m. at the Elmont Public Library on Hempstead Turnpike and ended at the same place.
There will also be a rally held in Massapequa Park at the LIRR station at 1 p.m.
