Long Island, several events are taking place in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
This morning, a walk is being held in Elmont
organized by the group Elmont Strong.
The walk started at 9 a.m. at the Elmont Public
Library on Hempstead Turnpike and ended at the same place.
There
will also be a rally held in Massapequa Park at the LIRR station at 1 p.m.
