The Centereach Fire Department teamed up with Long Island-based Canon Solutions America to hand out 100 copies of the inspirational children's book "Sprinkles the Fire Dog."
They also learned some very important lessons - such as do not play with fire.
The event was also part of a push to motivate students to be the best version of themselves.
