Students at Eastport South Manor Junior-Senior High School collected thousands of items for Long Islanders in need for their annual Stuff-A-School fundraiser.
Each year, extracurricular groups like National Honor Society and the Gay Straight Alliance are tasked with collecting items such as toys and nonperishable food for local organizations, including Big Brothers Big Sisters. Other clubs adopt families in the community that are in need and buy specific items for each family member.
The goal is to fill the rotunda of the school before the nonprofits pick up donations ahead of Christmas.
Stuff-A-School has been a long-running and beloved tradition for the Sharks, with some students participating for all five years as junior and senior high school students.
