An East Quogue woman was found guilty of arson Wednesday after prosecutors say she tried to set three Hampton Bays homes on fire in November 2023.
Amanda Burnside, 42, failed at setting two of the homes on fire before setting the third house on fire while four people were inside.
Prosecutors say she poured gasoline onto a wicker bench on the front porch, and then lit papers on fire to ignite it.
Burnside faces up to 25 years in prison.
