East Northport FD vows to 'never forget,' releases doves on 9/11 anniversary

The East Northport Fire Department hosted its 21st annual 9/11 memorial service on Monday.
The service was held at the department’s headquarters around a steal beam that was recovered from ground zero.
Firefighters and EMS members read victims’ names, sounded sirens and released memorial doves as a symbol of peace.
An evening candlelight ceremony is scheduled for 8 p.m.
