Cops are searching for a hit-and-run driver who killed an East Meadow woman in front of her Stuyvesant Avenue home.

Police say 49-year-old Nina Sharma, a mother of three, was killed when a van slammed into her while she was taking out the garbage Thursday night. The victim's husband, Raj Sharma, says he witnessed her body being dragged several feet away to a stop sign. According to police, the gray or tan Chrysler or Dodge van sped off toward East Meadow Avenue. The vehicle had a broken headlight on the passenger side.
