East Meadow man to be arraigned in 2 bank robberies

Police say the suspect in two Nassau County bank robberies has been arrested and will face a judge today.  
Benjamin Maynard, 32, of East Meadow, was arrested on Tuesday.
According to police, Maynard robbed the Bethpage Federal Credit Union inside the King Kullen in Levittown at gunpoint.
Police now believe Maynard also robbed the Roslyn Savings Bank inside the Stop and Shop in Seaford in February.
When arrested, Maynard was found to be in possession of 16 glassine bags of a substance believed to heroin.
Maynard is charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th Degree.
Maynard is expected to be today in Hempstead.
