An East Islip man was sentenced to 17 years to life in prison for fatally shooting a Bay Shore man.

Prosecutors say Ismael Rodriguez-Rosado killed German Ariel Montes De Oca Ramirez during an argument outside Mi Nuevo Encanto in August 2021.

Rodriguez-Rosado then allegedly dove off to a gas station where police spotted him.

Prosecutors say a chase ensued and the 29-year-old slammed into a police vehicle before he was arrested.
