Residents on the East End say they are surprised and angered by some "Welcome to New York" signs in places like Montauk.
Assemblyman Fred Thiele tells Newsday that local and state officials will meet to talk about the billboard-sized signs sometime this week.
He says the signs are "just not appropriate for the location, and they are too big."
