Wineries on Long Island have had to change the way they operate to make tasting safe but fun for those traveling to the East End.
Palmer Vineyards, in Riverhead, is one of the first wineries on Long Island.
The Massoud family, who are the owners of Paumanok Vineyards, bought the vineyard two years ago.
They say amid the pandemic, they've changed the way they operate the winery - like not seating guests indoors, spacing everything on the lawn 9-feet apart and checking guests' temperatures.
In Mattituck, the popular Harbes Family Farm is known for its farm stand and huge family play area. They also produce their own wine, including a group a new award winners.
The tasting room is a refurbished 100-year-old barn that was used for everything from storing potatoes to repairing tractors.
